  • Thanks for filming this. I just read about it in conjunction the new LA County project. Don't know what to think.

  • @Shufei so is every corn field in the world

  • @Shufei you have strong opinions on DNeg. I agree from an environmental aspect it is a scar. however restoring it? i have to disagree. it is there and part of the history of the valley. whether you like it or hate it is up to you. but to propose on an environmental restoration is a bit over zealous.

I do find it interesting that a couple of trenches in the desert can bring such interest from around the world...art should create interest and in that aspect it does qualify as art.

  • lol

  • This looks pretty sweet

  • he's look really similar to my writing professor.

  • hey guys,

do you know the name of the producer of ths video?

    thank you

  • Yawn. Artistic colonialism and modernist arrogance. As if this land needs more scars. This "art" speaks to no one around here in Moapa Valley, much less about the need to live in a fluidly reciprocal way with the Earth. Rather it speaks a philosophy of quantifying brutalism in the name of the colonial interests of the avant garde, misappropriating land to say in metric tons what would otherwise be ignored in ounces.

Double Negative is just another scar needing environmental restoration.
