After one month in Argentina I've returned to my hydroponic pumpkin to see it covered in weeds but still living. This is surprising because there was no nutrient content in the reservoir when I checked it. I'm assuming the plant grew off its secondary root system while I was gone. Once I cleaned it up it didn't look too bad considering the neglect it's had.

I mixed up a new batch of solution for the plant in hopes that the pumpkin that is on the vine will continue to grow. I realize it's really late in the season to be hoping for results but we'll see how large we can get this thing to grow given the limited time we have left.

Thanks for watching and expect more videos in a couple of weeks. I will continue to update you all on this project and new ones as time allows.

And in case you are wonderin, no I don't grow opium ;)

  • omg...it has gotten to the point where I am checking daily to see what happened to your pumpkin. You're one of my fav utube subscriptions...from here in Hawaii to the Great White North...what's happening to that pumpkin????

  • Those roots looks so clean and healthy! You don't happen to be adding small amounts of concentrated hydrogen peroxide, do you? Either way, I love these videos man. Good work.

  • I like the video... Make sure you remove all but one of the pumpkins, so the plant directs all of the energy into the remaining one. Otherwise, its a good idea to raise it off the soil, but onto something which will not pool water.

    Cheers..

  • You need to build a play form for the pumpkin so it doesn't rot

  • @TheMrcrema The poppies are real but no I don't harvest opium from them only the seeds. I wouldnt think it's legal anywhere which is why I was joking about it.

  • that pumkin is going to explode!

  • I SHALL CALL THE DEA ON YOU FOR YOUR OPIUM! YOU ARE MOVING KILOS OF OPIUM WITH ALL THAT OPIUM!!!
