I strongly agree that some people don't have to be poor. I consider my self poor interms of how much money I have. But I can not hold some of the rich people responsible for people poorness. Some rich people work hard and made sacrifices to get where they are and I know of poor people who want things to fall on them. So I guess we first have to the cause and why being poor.

Erica, you should spent like a 4 weeks studying money flow and wealth regarding resources and productivity. Our "wealth" (US citizen) is an illusion...wealth or ownership rest with a very few elites. And they want you to further their cause of "total globalization". The poverty is created by making loans to the poor countries, knowing they will forever only be able to pay interest...the lender owns, the debtor slaves. Be careful about what you promote!

ummm, wrong dude, the US gives less than one-tenth of 1 percent for foreign aid, and yes, corrupt foreign goverments dont' give it to the people , but many of those corrupt govts are supported by the US

The thing you have to remeber about America is, that although it is the Richest country in the World, it also has the largest National Debt on the Planet. $12 TRILLION.
