Warren BackPack Program - Feeding Hungry Children

In Sarasota County alone, more than 1,000 kids in kindergarten through third grade experience hunger. Many of them are also homeless. The Warren BackPack Program aims to end hunger for these children by picking up where state-funded programs leave off.

Through the Warren BackPack Program, nutritionally balanced nonperishables are packed and distributed to local schools in a child-friendly backpack every Friday during the school year and at critical drop sites during the summer. The program is funded by the Warren Foundation, Gulf Coast Community Foundation, and private donors. Businesses, organizations, and individuals can help by making a donation or contacting us to get involved.

$4.05 feeds one child for one weekend.
