I have such fond childhood memories of my mom reading this book to me before bed.

even the trailer is hard to watch. i would do anything to go back to a time when nothing mattered other than the snowfort i was building outside.

When I first saw the movie, I had never read the book, and expected a lighthearted story. What I got a far more serious and emotional plot... and it worked.

Same with me. It was sooo unfair. I've never heard of the book before and this trailer, with this particular song build the hype.
It was not that the movie was bad, but ....meh

No, it's only used in the trailer. Karen O did the soundtrack for the actual movie.

Has anyone found this version of wake up (Illegally) anywhere? Or does anyone know when this soundtrack comes out?

This version of Wake Up will most likely not be released. The soundtrack is done by Karen O (Karen O and the Kids) and is already released.
