Cupcakes have been the craze in New York for many years and new cupcake shops are constantly opening all over the city. Cupcake Cafe is famous for its artistic designs on their cupcakes and cakes.

Ann Warren opened Cupcake Cafe in 1988 and it has received a lot of attention over the years. Ann has combined her love of art and baking into one amazing and delicious talent. These are two Cupcake Cafes - one is located at 18 West 18th Street and the other at 545 9th Avenue. Yeah New York went to the location in Chelsea to chat with Ann, try some cupcakes, and learn a little about how she designs them beautifully!

I purchased a vhs "best of martha stewart living" 48 minute cake decorating tape featuring Ann Warren. Love the details and instructions. On a visit to New York in the mid 90's we went to Cupcake Cafe in Hells kitchen. In terms of eye appeal they were good cupcakes but they taste like any other cupcake found in an upscale bakery. *at that time in that location Cupcake Cafe was a dumpy hole in the wall.

I love love LOVE her work!! I use to tape the Martha Stewart show and saw Ann on there. Geezeee that was YEARSSSSS ago. LOL. Hope to visit NY someday and have one of her cupcakes :) Again it looks amazing !!!
