Anybody wanting to see how Proby's treating women these days can find a news video, GVs of pop star PJ Proby arriving at Worcester Magistrates' Court, making the rounds of newspaper network websites. Proby's with a woman he refers to as Manja (probably Manja Dolan, one of his promoters) who carries a load of stuff presumably needed for his court appearance. He isn't carrying anything except his gut but is busy giving her a tongue lashing while cameras roll and microphones are switched on.

@rontenn If it's human nature for women to spill the beans why hasn't PJ's stepsister Betty ever talked about how she serviced Elvis in 1954 on the "polka-dotted pink and black seat" of Elvis' Cadillac? There's a promotion page on the web for PJ's autobiography with excerpts about PJ listening to Elvis and Betty "beating up the bedhead" in the next room. Did Betty forget her liaison with the King of Rock 'n Roll or is the story fiction?

@rontenn Get serious. I've seen those Around The Beatles clips. Anyone that can't tell P.J. Proby copied Rufus Thomas and Lonnie Donegan needs a brain scan or a hearing aid. He was a master of flimflam if he convinced The Beatles or anyone else that he was doing fresh and original stuff.
The hostility he shows at 5:10 when he talks about a grade school incident is weird. He acts like a mental case.

@grizzlygalore You do talk such rubbish & lots of it! With some anti Proby YouTubers you can at least have an almost intelligent exchange of views with them even tho' they are almost as thick as you. Go get a brain scan!! You're a few sandwiches short of a picnic!! Your comments count for nothing & that's how I will treat them from now on. Not even worth an answer!!

@rontenn Oh yeah, Proby always sounds gruff and gravelly with a fake black accent. He wasn't trying to sound like Rufus Thomas because it's the same voice and accent he had in "Answer Me" and "I Will", right?
It doesn't take any time at all to verify facts if you know how to read but you seem proud of posting whatever you dream up. Did you learn that from Proby or do you come by it naturally? It isn't about heart and soul or music. It's about lying and you don't impress anybody.

A walking encylopedia of the rules & regulations of the music industry.As an "anorak" you may impress a few people but not people who are really into music with their heart & souls! Before you leave a comment on You Tube you must be delving like mad into every music book you possess.....not something to be proud if! PJ sang songs on The Beatles show in '64 made famous by R.Thomas & Donegan but did not in any way copy their voices.

PJ Proby copied lots of artistes but I was referring to his performance of Walkin' the Dog, Cumberland Gap, and I Believe on Around the Beatles, not his later records. There are several youtube videos of Tom Jones performing on The Beat Room in 1964. You're saying he copied Proby before then? Or are you just spouting off your usual claptrap with no facts to back you up?
According to Billboard Cliff Richard has had 9 Top 40 US hits with one VERIFIABLE US gold record.

@grizzlygalore Oh! I thought it was Elvis & Billy Eckstine PJ supposedly copied When TJ was copying PJ he was a nobody so there was no interest in filming him! Proby made a fortune but was not sensible with his cash,much too generous in the same way Elvis was plus like The King too many hangers-on! There are many stories as to why he never made it big in the States.Some stars just do not seem to catch on over there,i.e. Cliff Richard & Robbie Williams.Both talented, as of course is PJ
