http://www.nevadamusic.co.uk/Guitars/Electric-Guitars/Electric-Guitars/sc1437... This special 25th Anniversary Custom 24 SE follows in the footsteps of the tried and true Custom 24 model that has been a PRS best seller for well over a decade. This model is in fact the guitar that Paul Smith took to his first tradeshow in 1985, so effectively the Custom 24 is the model that started the ball rolling for PRS. It is re-issued and offered in the original three colours from 1985 — Royal Blue, Scarlet Red - as depicted here, and Vintage Yellow — and is one of the first SEs to feature "old school" PRS birds as fret inlay orientation markers ...

It uses a Mahogany body with a Maple top and a quilted Maple veneer, the neck is Maple and is perfectly complimented by a 24 fret Rosewood fretboard that has inlaid Pearloid "Birds in flight" fret markers. Sound comes courtesy of a HFS Humbucker at the bridge position and a Vintage bass Humbucker at the neck, these are managed by a Master rotary tone and volume control along with a 3 way pick-up selector toggle switch.

This model features a PRS designed tremolo system and PRS designed machine heads both of which are finished in chrome, the pick-ups have cream plastic saddles and black plastic pick-up covers whilst the quilted Maple top has been finished in an immaculately applied Vintage yellow and given a high gloss finish. Check out this stunning guitar now at the Nevada Music Warehouse ....

  • are those passive pickups?

  • @PaybackTyme Yes they are passive, the back pickup is nice and hot and honky and the bridge is smoother are warm. Both together is a great clean slightly strat like tone, so 3 really different and usable sounds. lovely. :)

  • Little Wing! Thumbs up if you know the song

  • I bought this model at Guitar Center about a year ago. It's a great guitar for the money, I ordered a a pick guard from PRS, and did a little modification on it, and installed it. It looks factory, and the finished isn't getting scratched. The factory service dept is top shelf, just like the PRS products, even the one's not made in the U.S.A.

  • Yeah, little wing =D

  • Question, how well do these guitars handle drop tunings with the trem? I need something that won't go out of tune in the middle of a song. It's between this and the Tremonti Se 2011.

  • @NevadaMusicUK could i please know the pick-up name?

  • are you playing the same tuning all the time? and what kind of effects are you using? and now most important question, what would it cost to ship this guitar to germany?

  • @VICmAN88 i recommend the morley tremonti wah. i have it and it sounds awesome.

  • I recently bought my prs se custom 24 royal blue, what wah was used in this video when he went into solo? I'm contemplating buying the morley mark tremonti wah and I already have a digitech rp250, any advice to get the tone in this video as I am looking to better my tone! Thanks anybody with advice!

  • little wing <3

  • Great video showing off a killer guitar! Just bought one for The Wife last week (she's started and has been kicking ass at a MAJOR new job, as a longtime Rush & Porcupine Tree fan has always loved PRS' & took lessons when younger and wanted to restart) and as a semi-professional Bassist with high-end gear it's ASTOUNDING how "lower-midrange" instruments have become. I've talked to PRS owners buying the SEs and only installing locking tuners to have backup guitars 90% close to their Customs.
