@MultiBaldEagle I landed at Parris Island on Aug 1st 1978 and Graduated on of all days ...Oct 31st ( Halloween) 1978. Plt 2064 the ol' Singing Second Battalion, I was issued an XM-16 in Bootcamp (prototype) the pins kept popping loose everytime i fired on the range , the armourer replaced the pins but it was no use, that damn thing was worn out
