I assume you're talking about the Hadith(You seem to not even know your own Islamic sources, only what you've read from Islam critics) And the Hadith is actually a Persian source... not an Islamic one. An islamic source is the Qu'ran. Mohammed actually said that anything that is written down about what he has said should be destroyed. Therefore the hadith is most likely not written by people who had direct contact with him, but Persians therefore making it unreliable.
