Although the teaching that priestly ordination is to be reserved to men alone has been preserved by the constant and universal Tradition of the Church and firmly taught by the Magisterium in its more recent documents, at the present time in some places it is nonetheless considered still open to debate, or the Church's judgment that women are not to be admitted to ordination is considered to have a merely disciplinary force.

The church has been wrong about many things> they are completely wrong about women priests carrying spiritual authority. Come into the 21st century.

@stbridgetscross The word 'satan' means accuser. You can look in the mirror and see how angry you get when someone does not agree with you. Where is your peace? Where is your blessing of your enemy? Did not Jesus say it was a sin to get angry at your brother? You need to follow Jesus if you claim to be his disciple.

@ruach2351 Also, it's not about preaching or "spiritual authority". That shows a gravely deficient, shallow, and ultimately Protestant understanding of the priesthood. The priesthood is a spiritual fatherhood.

If you are a Catholic, that is the end of the issue. If you still deny it, you are not a Catholic.
