He greatly underappreciated in the U.S. However, I am American and I have been a fan for almost 30 years so August Darnell does have a core following here. Americans can be very dense when something doesn't fit in a particular category. Like Bryan Ferry is well known in most of the world but not in America. He is a cult figure here. We Americans can be very narrow in our approach to music and art and the like.

I m just being aware of kid creole has very stilish moves a bit like fred Astaire , just have a look at his hands he has such a natural smartness woow this song is as good as the original ones sure he still loves Adriana ha ha

Great tune. Love the groove on this track. KC is so underrated. He was so different to anything else out there that a lot of people just didn't get it. He should have been massive though.

Think many did get it in the early 80's across parts of Europe(long runs of sell-out shows etc) but it's criminal that KC hasn't received the recognition in the USA that he deserves. Still they're BIG in my house and always will be !!
