I don't hear this piece often enough. In fact I've never heard it played "live" at a recital with the reason being (I think)--it's too difficult for most organists to play. I get the impression Mozart wrote it to show off his own performance prowess and it was not purely the product of artistic inspiration-except the last portion-perhaps.

Mozart really wrote this for a mechanical organ and I guess from that one could say that a machine is not capable of artistic inspiriation.

But it remains one of the greatest organ pieces along with Bach, Widor.

You should check out the version of it played on the Hazel Wright Organ fro the 25th anniversary! Pardini does and EXCEPTIONAL job! It's beautiful!

Hele v 1:20 je hezkej obrázek:D jsem ještě neviděla takovej.. a máš pravdu je to pesimistický,bych to tipla na Beethovena,kdybych nevěděla že posloucháš Mozarta
