WOW! OMGOD Rod and I were so excited to actually be on the road with our new Delorean in Australia for the first time! We were both totally exhausted from our shift work but managed to keep each other awake for the long journey interstate. Our main fear was if the Delorean would make it or not or wind up being Concorded over :) At this point we knew NOTHING of car shows or car people having never attended either but were keen to try and fit in and have fun. We're very happy go lucky guys even after 20 years but our work life stops us from doing normal everyday socialising so this event was truly a one off for us in every way. Here we met other Delorean owners who had come to meet in this country's first Delorean get together that we know of. We also met the famous Knight Rider mean machine created by Rod U and his offsider James1991 (ala Batman and Robin :) as used in David Hasselhoff's "Get In My Car" video filmed here in Australia. We also met Dale who suffers from serious and complex disabilities, and we struck up a friendship that would become a life changing experience for all of us.
