i do not understand american wrestling rules at all. why did red get a caution point in the end of the match and the white wrestler start in the top position. that made no fuckin sense. (i ref wrestling)
It's Brian Smith. Barker was incredible his junior year, had the fire, etc. He completely gassed and choked against Rosholt in the finals a week later and I think he wasn't there mentally his senior season. Looked like two completely different people, Barked did between his junion and senior seasons.
Kevin Smith treats his athletes terribly. He forces them to compete immediately after surgeries or during debilitating injuries, witholds money owed to athletes from scholarships or work at high school wrestling camps, and leverages his power to force student athletes to do certain things by less than ethical means. Scott Barker was not the only wrestler at Missou with a attitude "problem"....a very well-warranted attitude.
Barker transferred to Oregon after having a runout with Kevin Smith the Missouri head coach. Barker was not a team player and from what I hear he had a severe attitude problem. He finished off his career with a Pac 10 championship and 2 matches away from All American status.

Barker did not show up to wrestle at all at the NCAA finals. Does any one know why he transfered to Oregon after this?
