HAHAHA...is a lil humorous because Stomp for the Cherokee people is a spiritual traditionalist movement. And then to see this goofy dance... very funny!

No more to the dance, it is an easy beginner linedance, obviously it is danced to all 4 walls and can be danced to virtually any 4 beat piece of music, I normally use Shania Twains Man I Feel Like a Woman, or Achy Breaky Heart. Dianne :)

There is no more to the dance, it is just a nice easy line dance that can be done to virtually any music track you like, I usually use Man I Feel Like a Woman by Shania Twain :)

I've always been interested in the Cherokee culture. Unfortunately, in blood I'm only a sixteenth Cherokee and have no documented proof of it. but, it's not truly about the blood, is it? As the dance is, it's all about the spirit. Even though I'm a mutt, I do play favorites with my Cherokee half. I hope to learn more of this some day.

Thank you for your comments, I must stress this dance is nothing to do with cherokee traditions,it is just a dance put together and named that way, the music originally was probably something like cherokee boogie.

You may think it's goofy, however I think line dancers would think it a bit goofy stomping around like a cherokee LOL

That's not our stomp dance. This is something very different.

Sadly I don't know the choreographer of my version, it is a dance I was taught 12 years ago and is brilliant for beginners. A lot of dances have the same name but are different eg achy breaky or reggae cowboy :)
