i know that woman they are talking about, and shes not " friends" with the local lobstermen. she makes them sign on and they cant sell to ANY one else or she takes them to court and pretty much , its a mafia for lobsters... and she hates gay people. so yea, she can get the fuck out of maine , that would be cool. she also happens to be the direct desendant of LLBean and she donates money for shit like ending mariage equality...

Went to Vegas a few years ago. Figured I'd hate it - I avoid resorts and other plasticky places like the plague (happy alliteration!). But, there was something liberating about being in Las Vegas - ate at some wonderful restaurants and saw some great shows. Except that I noticed on main streets and other popular tourist areas...there was no smell. No exhaust-laden, dusty, pukey city smell...I had the occasional sense of Disneyland deja-vu - living in a created simulated reality...

This is the greatest Fan Boy tribute to Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas... Who wouldn't want to live it up in Las Vegas for a couple of days, embrace the spirit of Raold Duke/ Hunter S Thompson... and get paid for it. I salute your commitment to the cause Bourdain. You rock!
