The Nasties Review: Absurd aka Anthropophagus 2

This is the second entry in the Nasties Review by director Joe D'Amato who follows up his previous nasty 'Anthropophagus the Beast' with this pseudo sequel Absurd.
George Eastman kind of reprises his 'Beast' role in a film that is sort of like a bunch of other films and vaguely tells a story of a semi indestructible man who heals very quickly but at the expense of being quite, quite mad.
Featuring more ham than a pig farm and some highly original murder scenes that stand up against the best the genre has to offer this is a film that few have had the chance to see due to its unavailability.

How bout the second cut of the head with the blood gushing , to my view it looks like they use a rubber bag of fake blood as a fake head being bisected with the other head half looking like it's being squeezed?

The close up on the cut is a fake head the reverse angle is probably pumped through a tube from under the table I'd imagine

That's a good disguise of fake gore in the movies.

Yeah the SFX are pretty good. that scene in particular is very well done.

Same character was in Chuck Norris' film Silent Rage. I think it's even the same guy.

Psychopathic killer gets killed by cops. Gets given Regenerative formula which makes him invincible. Goes on a killing spree. Chuck Norris kicks him into a well.

Ths movie should have been Silent Rage II.

I'm awaiting the R1 DVD of Horrible (aka Absurd), never seen it but lots of fans prefer Absurd to the slow paced Anthropophagus.
