Tristan Hambleton, soloist

I clearly acknowledge that I'm not the composer of this work, so all credit and copyright properties go to Karl Jenkins. I uploaded this do to the fact the whole mass is not uploaded on Youtube. You can purchase this recording and score at http://www.karljenkins.com/home.php

  • WHY on earth, do four people not like this?? This is one of the most beautiful things ever composed.

  • @Arcticwerewolve

Though it is hauntingly beautiful, Karl Jenkins is not for everyone. This is by far my favorite movement.

  • Hello all. Thanks for close to 20k views! As of today, all thirteen movement of Karl Jenkins' The Armed Man: A Mass For Peace have been uploaded on my videos.

  • Due to mass popularity, with this being my most viewed video by far, I'll take some time to upload the whole mass.

  • The soloist on this peace was a 11-year-old treble named Tristan Hambelton, and for an eleven year old I thought he did quite well. Tristan was also the primary soloist on the 2002 Boys Air Choir 'Boys Gregorian' album where his mature treble voice really began to shine. One of the songs from that album 'Eja Mater' can be found on You Tube.

  • I'm singing this whole mass with my choir and two others in the chapel at Windsor castle this spring. Really looking forward to it

  • this is one of my fave pieces! our choir was the first choir to perform this work in Africa. it really changed my life. opened my eyes even more to the horrors of war. brilliant!

  • The music was great, but the lyrics could do with a bit of work.

  • just went to one of the many The Armed Man: A Mass For Peace concerts worldwide today in honor of 9/11 (I will never forget) It was the most beautiful concert ever. This coming from someone who usually hates classical.....This just speaks to your heart.

  • @nickmaestro Hm I can understand it, coming from a musician... My favorite movement is the tenth. Agnus Dei

  • The middle "Christe eleison" part is just absolutely awesome.

  • Campwaith!

  • My school choir got picked to sing with at a big orchestra and professional choir, and to this day i'm still gutted that i got the flu the day before the performance and missed it! i still remember all my harmonies, but unfortunately my voice has dropped from top soprano to low alto (i blame the flu!) so i might learn the alto part instead :P
