Will Pete Rose Ever Be Reinstated?

All-time hits leader Pete Rose was banned for life from baseball twenty years ago after a major league investigation that included allegations of betting on baseball. AP Baseball Writer Ben Walker said Rose will eventually be reinstated. (Aug. 24)

Such an ignorant ban. You can cheat and take steroids and get a slap on the wrist. Yet your one of the greatest players on the planet, who only bet on games as a manager and get banned for life? I can understand the ignorance of betting on your own games but please, not even close to being as bad as Bonds, Canseco, Rodriguez, Sheffield, and Clemens. Bud Selig is a trash commisioner and needs to go away.

I live in Toronto, Canada and, what is the big deal in today's world of Pete Rose betting on baseball games? That was decades ago when society did not have legalized sports betting. Toronto is home to the Toronto Blue Jays and any adult up here in Toronto can go into any corner convenience store, shopping mall, gas station or grocery store and bet on Major League Baseball games. Times have changed, Province of Ontario has Pro-Line sports betting and our government even encourages it!

Someone needs to start a petition to get him reinstated. Most people don't care about the gambling since it was on his team, so there were no fixes, just in general they don't care about it because it has 0 to do with the game itself.
