@yellowman88 Don't do it! WD-40 may help but it's only temporary, and when it wears of it leaves your chain stripped of anything. Then your chain will wear out quickly because it has no lubrication.

@HiTONEz1407 if you don't clean it before you lube it grit in the chain combines with the chain lube making a thick paste that grinds up your chain and screws up shifting, plus also grinds into your rear derailleur, cogs, and chainrings
