Rajah Aslan Khan is a young Kashmiri man. He contracted polio when he was 8 years old, and no longer has the use of his legs. He has managed to continue his education, however, and speaks 3 languages, reads, writes, and can use a computer. He has no father, and his family of 5 lives on $20 US a month. His dream is to have a small shop with a computer and printer/fax in his village. With them, he could earn a living for himself and support his family, and help educate his younger brothers. I am happy to report that Rajah now has his computer and printer/fax/photocopier, plus a position on the board of the Hope Disability Centre.
The terrific job you did Diane Emerson. God bless you. I pay thanks for helping our brother in Kashmir, the land of oppression. We live in USA but did nothing like this. I feel pity at myself.
