HBO Documentaries: Fixer: The Taking Of Ajmal Naqshbandi! Focuses on the 2007 kidnapping and murder of a 24-year-old Afghan who was hired by foreign journalists to help gather news stories. Ajmal Naqshbandi and an Italian reporter were captured by the Taliban in Afghanistan, but while the journalist was spared, he was killed. Interweaving footage of Ajmal on assignment with an American journalist six months before his abduction, this 2009 Tribeca Film Festival winner shows how Ajmal's friends, family and fellow abductee try to make sense of his murder.

@CWmoviemom The sad part is it plays directly into the Taliban's plan book (which is simply chaos as Lawrence Wright dictated). They let the Italian reporter go but killed the Ajmal due to the Pakistani government refusing to agree to the demands. This pissed off a lot of people, it breeds anger and injustice, it gets the society mad at their government. And you also have them wondering why their god allows such atrocities but lets a Western reporter free....

@treid100182 Actually if you watch the documentary he's commenting on how he believes they are not bad people but misguided and he crossed Taliban territory in the hopes of enlightening them.

Bayghyrat Karzie could have saved Ajmals life but he procrastinated on purpose...yet he did not procrastinate on the Italian journalist!
