Emilie Simon - Fleur de Saison
(until Youtube removes it, but no one has complained yet)

Awesome! How much CPU it eats with those animations?

on my old, single-core AMD 3500+, 40% of my CPU, but
-it will skip frames if there's not enough, so will only eat CPU that's available
-it's only when showing the capture, so when you're not working with other apps
-it also heavily depends on the graphic card for the layered window. Old ATI's are said to have problems with them.

hmm, you call 3500+ old...? And 40% not much? =\

what's the CPU usage paranoia about, anyway? If there's not enough CPU, you will get a less smooth framerate, and it's the GUI thread of 1 process, so other processes are still getting CPU. I don't think the idea is to leave a giggling screen capture on-screen all the time while you work.
