I miss DC-10 gonna

@manureva744 Well, yes and no. ATA first switched en bloc from DC10-10/40 to Tristar. It operated the Tristar fleet for a long period until around 2004. 1 or 2 DC-10-30s were added to the fleet in around 2006 before its final demise.

back in the 80's my dad was working in oaklands airport and a DC-10 with a bomb onboard was flown into oakland and he was unloading it trying to find the bomb and when they got to the bulk head where the fuel is they picked up a bag and the dog started yellin cause the bomb was in it and they guy holdin the bag and my dad looked at eachother and was like oh sh** and took it off and the police disarmed it and then said that the guys who made it switched two wires or it would have gone off.

The flight surfaces are huge on this aircraft.

@manureva744- liked your vid--wish I had your camera the last time I landed in Honolulu...but technology like this wasn't around then...that being June 1967, and I was on a World Airways Douglas DC-6C. It was rainy, and turbulent. Loved watching those wings flex as we bounced through the weather...those were the days :)

been on it 3 times. the 2nd time apparently our flight was delayed because of some '' maintenance problems '' please tell me what was the most likely cause of that, if you know, of course. by the way, dominus211998, yes indeed there was a massive problem which is one of the reasons it was called off later and McDonell Douglas stopped making them. but besides that, this was one of the most advanced planes in that time. and for that itself, you need to give it some respect. thumbs up if you agree.

@dominus211998 its because your a pussy that makes asumptions from one inccident

@pianomanmaestro yes
While I also love the DC10, I am a firm fan of the Tristar. I applaud ATA's switch from the DC10 to the Tristar!

It was a digital camera and I hope you are not going to ask this question to every single person who shot a video of a landing or take off on board an aircraft...
