What Borg Warner turbo would you recommend for a 2nd generation 24v if you were looking for around 400 hp? I was thinking of a 60-64mm turbo because then I have room to play if I ever wanna get some higher numbers.

@dstoryman Thats extemely specific, Id agree with alot of it, I dont think the headstuds are really required at that level but its a safe thing to do. Id disagree on the turbo, it really depends on what he wants the truck for, alot of super b's are put into towing applications. From his comment below it sounds like he wants a DD play truck, Id call garret up, or one of the many well known turbo producers. Not wanting to start a fight with ya man most of what you said is right on! Keep it up

@damrye2010 if you really wanna do it right, get an egr delete kit, a 5 inch turbo back exhaust from Diamond eye performance, a BD power super b turbo, get a smarty POD for the 6.7, an suncoast t-disc tq converter, airdog 2 165 gph fuel pump, BHAF intake and a good set of injectors, dont forget about your ARP head studs. All of that and you should be gtg, just dont get caught, also, smoke dont mean crap, it just means you have the fuel but u need the turbo(s) to get the job done and clear it up

@damrye2010 first off you need to think about why you are doing the mods. Why would you want it to blow black smoke its a waste of fuel and will sky rocket your egts. Secondly, you have a 6.7 and if you get caught with a dpf delete kit its a 10,000 dollar fine from the EPA(me personally i dont care what you do but im just warning) Third, you have the VGT turbo which is gonna get clogged with soot(black smoke) and die early. And flowmaster has nothing good for the diesel world.

What made you do away with the vgt?

I would have never dremt of a 2010 sounding like that in my entire life becuse they got those new Cummins to sound so damn quiet!!! Nice truck man, best i've seen so far!
-
that sounds amazing!!!!

do you still have the exhaust brake with the new turbo? r does the new one eliminate that? im looking at getting a new truck and just trying to find out what i can get away with and keep some of it. i definately will want to straight pipe it. and do some other mods as well. i do quite a bit of towing and really want to make sure i can keep the exhaust brake.
Yes it is a 2010.
