Eesh...tough call...the Overdrive is cleaner so the chugs sound much better as does the solo...but the open chords sound a hell of a lot better with distortion.

I think this version is better tone-wise for everything except the solo. I think the tone for the solo sounds a lot more kick-ass in the overdrive version. Great job man!

This tone sounds better riff-wise, but when you enter the solo the overdrive is better. It sounds cleaner, and distortion not too bad but not as well as this video. The overdrive version has sort of has a muffled sound to it, while this one is clear and rich, but it sounds better doing the solo.

Thanks to you and everyone who has compared and commented. This version got most votes, though still many preferred the o/d version. I may do a version with the Engl Screamer now to complete the set!

Dude! i envy you for two things your playing and ur awesome guitar i really want a jackson RR but i was wondering if they were harder to play since there size?

The neck and frets are all same size as any other Jackson; it's just the shape that of course is very different. I actually find them more comfortable than conventional shapes, which is why I have three of them!
