I normally buy foreign luxury cars. I took a chance and bought a Volt instead. All I can say is, WOW! After 7 months, I still have a smile on my face when driving the Volt. A refined vehicle in every way (OK, the dash control layout could be improved). With a long 65 mile commute I am getting 120 MPG. Outstanding.

The Tesla Roadster is an Electric Car, not a Plug-In Hybrid Electric with gasoline generator. The Chevrolet Volt is the leading car in its class.
-
Why did the Electric Vehicle 1 Cost so much? Becuase we're overcharging for the price of our products. GM has to buy products from another company who charges twice the price. Inflation is occuring because we are greedy and want more and more. It will always be natural unless we regulate the industry.
-
@Pokertron200 how about now that you know the greedy bastards priced the incompetently designed Volt at 41k?
-
Lol you should take a look at the Tesla.
-
I agreed with all that... except for the part about overseas manufactures. Look at what happened to Toyota.
-
@Pokertron200 totally agree, i've avoided buying a car until the volt comes to market!

Real morans can't express themselves without cussing and insulting people.
ha ha I don't care how much this costs, this is gonna be my first car!

Yeah, they would have done great selling the EV1 for $89K...
The battery technology wasn't there in the 90's - now it is. Plus, the range extender is a good idea: you don't have to worry about running out of battery energy on your way home if the wind picks up.
