One of the potentials of the new event system that is being worked on for Blender 2.5 is better threading and event handling. In this short screencast you see a render being started and still the UI in action! No more blocking...

  • how do i render an image to bring into another program? help please! aslo how do i export a uv map to photoshop to texture like in the older versions. 2.5 is so confusing! will sub to 1st person to help me(if ur method works)

  • So awesome! Now i just have to hope that Blender will still continue to develop for OSX PPC - i have 5 and as a hobbyist will not be buying a new computer just for blender - gotta feed kids too =)
