Aravind Adiga just won the BOOKER PRIZE 2008 on October 14th for his first novel "The White Tiger", published in France as "Le Tigre Blanc" (Editions Buchet-Chastel, 09/11/08).

    it was, Ashok was a symbol of oppression and curruption and he wasnt that nice to him really, he was part of the problem like his dad was

  • @Petey123123 - ashok was a kind person in the book, in fact he cared for Balram. I am not sure why Ashok was killed instead of the Mongoose and whether the killing was justified.

  • i just finished the book and i am very sad

    i felt bailram was justified in killing ashko cause he was treated like shit his whole life and even though it was wrong the world was still the greater evil and he broke out of the chicken coop. excellent book
