  • how are people supposed to be thugs and Christians? two things that dont match, like the klan and black panthers together! this is wack and not Biblical

  • Bro, Nobody is trying to be a thug... A lot of the guys were raised in this Hip Hop Culture, and God is using them with their talents and abilities to share Christ... Gospel music isn't the only type of music that God can use to reach people...

  • brocliff...u have overcome sin??? tell me how brother, because i sin everyday. even though i am redeemed by Christ and i know my righteousness and deeds are but dirty rags, i still sin. sin is missing the mark, and guess what, the mark is perfection! we all sin firend, but some of us have been forgiven of that sin and are able to come to Christ; not because of what our hands have done, but because what Christ has done. amen?

  • It wasn't a rip, he made a video to tell people what inspired the song and yes Ludacris had a hand in it but the whole hand. FLAME did his homework thats for sure.

  • this song is of the hook no dought.

  • AMEN, right on point.

  • And just in case anyone thinks im hating with my previous comment. I do suport Flame and his ministry. I have all his albums. I just feel he should've done the song differently, that's all.

  • It's nice but This song is a rip off of "Runaway" by Ludacris featuring Mary J. Blige. The concept, the flow etc. Flame shouldn't be biting.

  • now i am on your side (kinda), but as Christians we do have the right to say other Christians are sinners. are we not all sinners(some of us have been reconciled). we are called to judge those inside the church: 1 coor 5:12, but not those outside...that is GOD's position

  • Who are you to consider him a sinner? Do you personally know him? Have you personally veiwed his fruit? He's bringing souls into the Kingdom of God with his music and with his touring crusades. That's not to say that he doesn't have his sinful vices to fight against, however YOU have no right to call him a sinner. You have a problem with his presentation of the gospel, and that is what I'm refering to when I say, "defacing the messanger". If you don't like Hip Hop then don't listen...

  • greetings again Brocliff, i am glad that you have responded. i would first like to see your thoughts backed by scripture. i presented many passages for you to look at, but you did not use any to in your refute. is "a mighty fortress is our GOD" a song worth singing in church? do you sing this song in personal worship?

i am going to send you a personal message. u can open it if you would like and we could continue this conversation and try to find the Biblical position.

  • the messenger is what makes the music what it is, if youre a sinner the music will not be honored by God, God cant use that music if its not of God. so to rule out the messenger would be foolish and unwise no matter who you are. sinners cant sing Christian music and be honored by God, Christians cant sing sinners music and be honored by God. tares and the wheat field!

  • this isnt true because for one if are apart of another religion and/or are in sin you dont belong to Christ, muslims wont go to Heaven the same way 2pac isnt in Heaven, the same way gandhi and elvis, and carlton pearson wont be in Heaven. serve one or the other. if act like sinner, talk like sinner, do what sinners do, sing like sinners sing, then youre a sinner. elementry level discernment.

  • its not about my preference because i used to listen to all kinds of hiphop when i was a sinner, no one should be doing any kind of music or ministry while in sin, because that spirit can flow out of person speaking to those that are listening, that is a fundamental element. how can one teach and preach if they themself are not wholly given over to the Lord, without holiness no man shall see the Lord.

  • singing a new song isnt a song that originates directly from sin, and that promotes sinful acts and a lifestyle. hiphop is proven to be an established religion and causes one to be very vain, "i did this i can do that, look at me drive this, etc" this video alone is comprising to the word of God, what kind of so called minister of Christ grabs his crotch at a concert in a dark environment, and talks walks dresses just like a sinner, beats just like secular version of his music

  • this is not worldly to the effect that we're not doing something against Gods word, He said not to be friends with the world (sinners) and to not touch (handle, be apart of)anything that is sinful, or promotes sin, or that is against Gods word. using the internet is not a love of the world, unless you do it more than you pray or go to church, if you do it more than the things of God. or if youre doing it in a sinful way, like lookin at porn videos or secular music videos or worldly videos

  • WRong..This is not conforming to the world. God doesn't have a Musical Preference. its a matter of a persons Heart. That is what Everyone should be concerned about. IF the Hearts of these Christian rappers are right...thats what matters.

Don't start on that Hip Hop Religion crap either. Because that is faulty all in itself..

  • Bottom line is, people fear what they Do not understand. Of course if your 45+ years of age, your not going to openly accept Gospel Hip Hop. Its a youth ministy, intended to reach Youth and young adults...This is the language that is spoken by young people..

You wouldn't go into a foreign country and expect to effectivly communicate with someone who doesn't speak your language..Same here, This is God's word with a different Delivery. New Times call for New Methods. But GOd stays the same...

  • i respect what u said here, Keep Pushing Christ

  • The root word in music is muse, which means to make think. As you read in 1 Samuel, when Saul was tourmented, David played his harp and change the atmosphere and relieved King Saul of the spirit that tourmented him. You're missing the message, because you're so focused on defacing the messanger. It'd be better for you to go to video pages of secular and worldly hip hop artist and wave your "shame on you" finger at them. This is the body of Christ. Don't be mad at the pinky, cause you're a thumb.

  • How is this even relevent to the afore mentioned conversation? By going back and forth on these video pages we become like the disciples who when they saw other men laying hands and casting out demons they were offended. Jesus made it known that if they are not against me then they are obviously for me. Flame is obviously for God will, so leave it at that.

  • Check out his song give us the truth part two and you can see this. He admits his falling into the sin of porn and GOD giving him victory over that! Amen? Just because it is different from your tastes and likes, does not mean that it is worldly and sinful. Col 3:17 and 1 Cor 10:31.

  • Let him worship: Col 3:16 Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God. He his letting the word of Christ dwells within him since many of his songs use Scripture. He is teaching all that listen to him and admonishing the Love of our Saviour with a spiritual song singing with thankfulness in his heart what GOD has done for him.

  • ? If this is so, then being on the internet is not necessarily worldly nor a sin in itself. Now then musical style in itself is not a sin, and there are many passages such as Ps 33:3, 96:1, 98:1, 144:9, 149:1, and Is 42:10 that say to sing a new song to the LORD. Amen? Flame is singing a new song to the LORD, one that you and I never heard before.

  • greetings in Christ, brocliff.

Almost all the Scripture used here speak of being separated from the LORD and being sanctified in Him. This is a pretty hard challenge which is even evident in our posting on this web page instead of going out into the world and inviting all to come to GOD. We are being worldly by wasting our time on the internet and watching music videos as this. Would you consider this being in the world? Or would you say you're on here trying to expose sins and make them known?

  • Uhh yeah all of you left out one important verse. That is this and alot of churches ignore and that is Exodous 20:8-11

    Ok

  • hey he is supposed to be coming to my church in Pittsburgh. You know Reese?
