Slam Sten is a Japanese dance/hip-hop duo comprising of trackmaker Tada and MC Phooky. After forming in circa 2001, Slam Sten embarked on a process of defining their sound by trial and error, while simultaneously striving to polish their act in venues throughout the Tokyo underground scene. Although hip hop provides the backbone of their style, their influences span a wide spectrum of musical forms from electronica to progressive rock. Currently, the duo hosts the event 'Zavan' at Organ Bar in Shibuya.
