I think Shylo's original with Ronny Scaife on lead vocal was the best. It was written by Danny Hogan & Ronny Scaife. RIP Ronny and Mel.

I would have liked to of had the opportunity to see him in concert. His Death or Passing in March of 2011 is a loss, we will always have his music. I have a favorite song by him this song is among them however, if you listen to Simple Ben, the callaberation hand the contribution Mel provided I think was awesome. It and all his work is priceless!!

This was (and still is) one of my favorite songs that I recorded background vocals on. I still pull out the LP and listen once in a while. . . I had the chance to sit down with one of the WSM "disc jockeys" at the studio in the Opryland Hotel "several" years back and they interviewed me and played several of Mel's records. Great memories!!
