@triqueta17 I'm pretty sure he heals more quickly, too -- just fastest if he's been dead, Lol. I don't remember which episode makes me think that, though.
Maybe Fragments? Weevil cuts him, he doesn't die, suddenly he's not bleeding anymore during the course of his and Ianto's conversation? Somewhere else, too, I think.
Don't know if alcohol -- which could technically be considered a form of mild, recreational poisoning -- counts for his quicker healing, though.
