@BlackcountryMatt Wow, I know this post is old but my fiance wrote the song and does all the music for SS. He's been the composer and music director since it first aired. I love seeing comments like this :)

only 2 - 3 times per week. only showed 1992-94 episodes though between 1994-97

If i'm right it Screened in the Central region before Home and Away in the evenings when it was on ITV.

I like the program and the theme tune but I have to say the lyrics are a bit random.

Correct me if I'm wrong...but didn't UTV (NI Region) screen double episodes over the summer period (June-Sept) in 1998 or 1999??? I distinctly remember the continuity announcer saying, "Shortland Street is back after a long break, catch up with Hone after his return from overseas".

so have I!!!! When I was in NZ in 1997 on holiday.. God ten years ago..... I bought the books that was published too! Are you still able to watch it? we'll catch up I'm sure in msn hehe!
