The Supreme Court Order, 2007, to make Indian Elections accessible for citizens with disabilities, was preceded by a movement by the disability sector to sensitise the electoral authorities and political parties. This is India's first accessible election. We the disabled citizens (70 million), our families (at least 280 million), friends, colleagues and neighbours CAN influence the formation of Government.
