  • You're taking people's words totally out of context. This video is a lie from 0:29. Otherwise it looks like you have talent!

  • @scriptures4life Don't worry I won't delete your comment, I don't shutdown anything I can't control.

  • @PoliTicking100 I appreciate that. The thing is that the C's have been negotiating with the opposition parties; that's clearly how they survived as long as they did. They made concessions to appease a broad spectrum of voters and the oppostion MPs. Sure the opposition would have a few different policies, but not much would change. What frustrates me is that the Liberals, lacking enough support on their own account (due to scandals), are willing to form a government with the Bloc Quebecois.

  • @scriptures4life Take a look at projectdemocracy[dot]org it is helping to avoid the Liberal victory, at the same time avoid a conservative take over, feel free to share this video, or projectdemocracy

  • Cool video, cool music, cool vibes, its time for Canadians to act like Egyptians. We don't trust Harper-at all. He's a Hosni Harper-and we're booting him out.

  • @PoliTicking100 Nice video....I appreciate the non-partisan perspective. If ALL Canadians could get their head out of the partisan crapper, they might actually be able to make an intelligent decision that actually serves themselves or serves Canada as a whole. It is sad when a country voted...for a large part....on partisan lines...and votes in people who often don't serve their economic and social interests at all.. This is what happened with the election of Bush...esp his 2nd term...

  • @scriptures4life AND...how can a govt justify that as of 2012/13.....Canada will be losing over $40 billion in lost revenue per annum due to tax cuts introduced since Harper came into power... Funny, how our deficit is getting below that figure now. Who is REALLY causing our debt??/ It's a total fucking farce...plain and simple....and people like yourself are sucked into it. Where is Conservative fiscal responsibility???? It's out the window....this is why Harper is likened to Bush...

  • @scriptures4life So, when was it that Harper was talking to the Bloc about forming a coalition??.....do you think we have forgotten about that? Harper was stupid enough to play on that....and now faces an almost complete shutout from Quebec for playing dirty politics. He is now tied to Ontario support if he ever wants to keep his majority....as Quebec will be lost to him for many years... He better suck up to Ontario or he will be relegated to a regional party...which is what he has anyway..

  • In fact, I would go so far as to propose that Mr. Harper would have had a disaster on his hands. The Bloc are far closer to the NDP in sentiment, and have an extreme dislike for being told what to do by non-Quebecois. Mr. Harper is extremely autocratic in leadership style, inflexible, has proven to be remarkably underhanded and arrogant, and seems particularly disliked by the Quebecois. Duceppe is cunning. He would have waited until a critical moment to hamstring Mr. Harper.

  • @scriptures4life Sorry for the spam before! YouTube kept giving me an error message. :| -- As for Mr. Harper's leadership qualities: no, I'm afraid if we agreed on that, I'd probably be voting for him. The reason I'm voting against him (and note, not necessarily *for* somebody else, just against Mr. Harper) is that I think he's a terrible leader. His style is autocratic and fundamentally dishonest. The methods he uses to keep his own party in line would not work on Duceppe.

  • @scriptures4life It might be words taken out of context, but it speak the truth!

  • @EdNorthcott I would argue that even if Mr. Harper had worked with the Bloc to oust Martin because of the Sponsorship Scandal, he would have been more successful at minimizing the Bloc's "sovereigntist" effects on government, because he is a strong leader. I think Ignatieff is opening a Pandora's box that he doesn't realize he doesn't have the power to control. I have more faith in Harper's ability to make things run on rails. He's been doing it for years. :) I'm sure we can agree on that!

  • @scriptures4life -- This is often a tagline used by Harper's PR machine: the Liberals will usurp the electoral process by forming a coalition with the Bloc, and that this is not how things are done in this country. Well, the trouble with that is 1) That /is/ how things are done in a Parliamentary system, and 2) Mr. Harper tried to do the very same thing with the Bloc to oust Paul Martin from power without an election. His current outrage is hypocritical.

  • @ElProximo Canada is a great country because our society (and government) accommodates diverse views while avoiding the bloodshed that would result from the same diversity in other countries. I actually think programs like ecoENERGY are great. That said, I concur that it's time to give the CPC a chance to actually implement their ideas without being stymied at every turn by opportunists. This way, they can actually show their governance. Let their record stand once they've had a majority.
