Pain signals (magenta) progressively increase in intensity until stimulus is removed and GABA/glycine (blue haze) inhibits pain signal.

  • I'm not really sure what that increment on the corneal primary sensory neurons (PSN) signal means in your model (0:06). The CNS can obviously enhance (central facilitation) the response of 2do order neurons at the TG nucleus..but it's unlikely than it will also increase the response of the PSN to a given stimuli.
