  • The Grapes of Wrath is a novel published in 1939 and written by John Steinbeck. Based in the Great Depression era. Basically about a group of sharecroppers who lost their livelihood due to drought and economic hardship. This song sounds like it may have been based around this novel. I used to play this song over and over again years ago. Glad I stumbled on it again. Great song.
