someone needs to sit Barack Obama down like the character of Alex in "A Clockwork Orange" and play 'Give 'em Hell, Harry!" to him over and over until he learns HOW to be a Democrate!!!
Harry Truman din't take any CRAP off of ANYONE. not corporations, not labor unions and definately not Republicans. he would have been on TV every night SCREAMING when the Senate Republicans were using the filibuster to block recovery programs from 2008 until now.

Truman was left-handed.

@askania60 at a party he asked me who I was and I asked ... who he was :) he said "an actor", I had no idea than. than he said we are loosing the art of story telling, the way people were doing it in the past before recorded media appeared. People just sat someone would tell a story, not short anecdote, but a long story. He told us some some story from his life and it was great, filled with details and humor, I could listen to him for ever. I guess the lesson is to seek depth in relationships...

I loved this guy... after seeing his life story told by PBS.org
you understand this man... what a Great... Great man...
We are a better country because of Harry S Truman.

He's got the essence of Truman';s character down but Truman actaully didn't talk anywhere near this rapidly or this snippy. He had a nice, calmer voice and didn't sound comical like this. But he has Truman's essential persona and character down.

Um--the American poster said OUR greatest president--meaning American Presidents, not Icelandic or otherwise.

I don't agree with the guy posting this video. I think that Vigdís Finnbogadóttir is our greatest president of the modern era. You may have a different opinion.

I remember being in the audience of 'Give 'em Hell Harry' when this was filmed at a Seattle performance in June, 1975. I can pick out some of the laughter coming from my dad and me in the front row since we knew most of the punchlines after reading daughter Margaret Truman Daniel's biography of her father. A great one-man show by James Whitmore.

Truman! Hell yeah... God this is great.
Truman did good on firing MacArthur. You cant have loose cannons who want to use nukes as a first option in charge of powerful factions.

the stamp applause was Truman's refusal to waste money via using free mail franking priviliges. James Whitmore was one of the World's formidible actors and his passing is tragic.
