They finally got big enough to move up to thier new home! Our cichlid babies are loving it. They are Mr. Dempsey, a Jack Dempsey, Tex a Texas, Chimera a firemouth, and Mark a convict. Non cichlids are Fat Tony the pleco, and rocket #4 the goldfish (yes we know they are eating rocket thats why he is number 4) no feeder roseys or guppies survived to make the video. The is our fishies getting adjusted and staking out territory in thier new home, they just moved up from a 35 gal to this big ole tank.

  • 2 days ago i bought a new juvie green texas cichlid and 1 juvie jack dempsey and 2 wittle bitty red baby oscars and they are sooo cute and cool but the texas and the dempsey and my 5 firemouths and blood parrot(i already had)don't exactly get along yet? but my oscars get on fine with the already establised 3 oscars do your fish all get along besides the odd cichlid tusseles as they do do nice looking fish mate but i like oscars aswell as the fish you and well i have how big are yours

  • Ours get along pretty good 90% of the time, we have a different set up now, we have three JDs and a firemouth in a 60gal, a Albino oscar and Tex in a 60gal, and a hybrid con and female con in a 50gal. They all do allright you can see them in our newer videos. We got a few OScars to house temporarily a while ago and the texas cichlid absolutley hated them. Tex is about 9" long, our oscar is a little more, the JDs are 7-8"s, and our cons are still a bit small at about 3"s, thanks for viewing.

  • how many days does it take the babies to come out

  • Not 100% of the question. But if you get eggs laid the fish take about a week to hatch, then in about a month, depending on aquarium size and temp, they will actually look like little cichlids. Some types grow faster, other slowers, in this vid the fish are less than a year, now they are over a year and half roughly and about three times the size (we have sold quite a few, only tex and the jd are left from our original fish) Thanks for viewing!

  • i think firemouths texas cichlids jackdempseys and convicts all look alike

  • Great video. I like your fish

  • I've never actually heard of that happening. Our Jack tears apart goldfish and other fish with no problem. Never had heard of that?

  • Thanks for the anser. But one last thing is could my fish get

lock jaw from eating live stuff.

  • White clouds, guppies should be fine, start with something small. Our Dempsey is up to small goldfish and rosie reds now, they grow fast! But guppies, white clouds, something small and cheap is the perfect live food to start them on. Good luck with your Dempsey and thanks for viewing!

  • I have a demp the same size as youre fish,do you think mine would eat live feeders?
