Another 18 y.o. woman, Erin McCutchen was punched repeatedly in the face by an SAPD police officer. He punched her in the face while she was in the back of his patrol car with her hands handcuffed behind her back. His punching her in the face resulted in broken bones in her face and double vision in her right eye. The SAPD officer said he punched her in the face to subdue her and keep her from running into traffic. This is a young woman who was taken into custody at a birthday celebration at a local party site because she was intoxicated and could not walk and had passed out. NO action was taken against the police officer by the San Antonio Police Department.

Detective Keith Alfaro is a 10 year veteran of the San Antonio Police Department. He is charged with second degree aggravated assault and evading and resisting arrest but he is currently out on a $12,000 bond and he is on paid administrative leave despite what happened. His victim is 18 years old Tamara Vaughan. On Sunday July 22, 2007, she reported he called her a racial slur and punched her about 25 times and choked her in the gated community's pool area after she asked him not to smoke in a posted no smoking area.
In an San Antonio Express News article August 3, 2007, author Ken Rodriguez stated that Detective Keith "Alfaro proclaims his innocence" and quoted another officer as saying "He felt his safety and the safety of his family was threatened."

'Cop faces jail time for groping nurses'
San Antonio Express News article October 19, 2006: 35 year old San Antonio Police Officer Randy Ramirez pleaded no contest to charges that while he was on duty he groped several nurses at Baptist Medical Center downtown. The incidents that were reported took place from February through May. The article said he frequently stopped by the emergency room for coffee and to see a friend. Is that friend a helicopter pilot for one of the Baptist owned/leased Air Life Helicopters?According to the article, the nurses said in police affidavits that they did not immediately report Ramirez to police because they feared retaliation. One of his victims told him she was going to report him and he replied "Who's going to believe you? I'm a cop." I think it is extremely important to note that the nurses were afraid of retaliation if they reported the SAPD police officer.
Why weren't the nurses asked what they knew, that they were so afraid of retaliation AND who would be involved in the retaliation that they were afraid of, if they reported the SAPD/city of San Antonio police officer. Have you noticed the recordings of terroristic stalkings of some of the Air Life Helicopters show the initials BHS on the helicopter's underside. The Baptist Health System is a partner in AirLife along with the University Health System.

Rene Rodriguez, president of the San Antonio Police Officers Association, is quoted as saying "there were two choices - the right one or the wrong one.
