One of the beautiful songs dedicated to our "City of Joy". This song was written by Joyjit Lahiri and composed and sung by Subrata Ghosh. These people are part of a Bangla Band called "Gorer Math" and they performed under the platform "Moheener Ghoraguli", which is probably the first Bangla Band.

  • I'm the source only. I'm closely associated with Subrata Ghosh and Joyjit Lahiri. Infact Joyjit has written the song and Subrata has composed the song. I was personally involved during the composition of the song and was also present in the studio, PRESTO, during the recording also.

  • I have changed the title and the description according to your comment. I also saw the names of Joyjit Lahiri and Subrata Ghosh on the Wikipedia page of the album "Jhora Somoyer Gaan". Could you write about Gorer Math on the same page? You can also mention about other bands involved with this album. As Moheener Ghoraguli were the poineer of the alternative music of Bangla band, I feel people should know more about these.

  • this song is not by Mohiner Ghoraguli. This song belongs to "Gorer Math", please get it correct.

  • I got this song from one user in YouTube whose account is now suspended; so uploaded it sometime back under Moheener Ghoraguli like that user. If you have a source which confirms your point, then let us know that.

  • Are ki bandhite pari, purno michile, purono tram er der shari...phutpath ghesha baloon gari, shutho badha joto lal r shada......(oshadharon).....

  • Subrata, Joyjit & others are having a band known as Gorer Math, name given by Gautamda (Monida) only just b4 a stage performance at Regent Park in Oct 1994. Mohineer Ghoraguli was a platform where new band and singers were given opportunity to perform. If u closely see the cover photograph also it is ver clearly written "Mohineer Ghoraguli Sompadito" - Sompadito is a bengali word means "EDITED". Monida, a GEM of a person, always beleived credit should be given to the creator not the promoter...
