I am cutting a 6ppc chamber on a 19in. set back barrel. I am doing the work between centers as the barrel is too short to reach my spider. I am doing all the work with the finish reamer because Im not set up to step bore yet.

  • Jonathan,

You have your fingers dangerously close to the cutting edges on the reamer. I chamber similar to the way you do, but I am sure to have my fingers on the tap handle, not the shank of the reamer. When a tool grabs, it grabs like right now... Reamers are sharp and fingers are soft tissue. Best of luck

  • @pbike257 Thanks for the advice. I plan on tapping and putting another handle on the holder so I can hold back evenly on handle without being close to the reamer
