"The Hope" in Mondulkiri province, Morl Plonh and Bo Sari, like other families, are living in poverty and hunger. There are a number of factors that contribute to the situation they now find themselves in. There is a lack of agricultural land on which they can make a living, their life skills are unsophisticated and they are not prepared for the impact of globalization and unable to benefit from any of its potential advantages. In addition, their traditions do not fit easily with today's modern society that is based largely on competition.i
