This is a few clips we took on a 35 mile round trip boat ride on the Buffalo River in northern Arkansas. It was about the perfect day. The River level is about 5' at the gauge. Plenty of water to get around on. Using a 9.9 hp Yamaha 2 stroke on a 20' flat bottom boat. You are limited to 10 hp on this river.

  • How shallow will that boat run?

    Any motor scars from rocks?

  • I have never measured it. I would guess about 8 or 10 inches of water. Less if you go to shallow water drive. I have plenty of rock scars! I have a knack, if there is a rock there I will find it. You have to leave the motor latch released and if you hit something it will kick up and hopefully not hurt anything.I have been lucky so far.

  • We put in at Buffalo City on white River and Run up to about Big Creek. It is about the last 15 miles of the Buffalo River. Thanks for the comment.
