all these fish die as result of all fertilizer runoff be dump by over 5000 farms into the salton sea, as result it promote heavy growth of algae ,, when algae died off and sunk to bottom ,, it promote bacteria to eating it .. does create hydrogen sulfide which is poison and attack fish's central nerve system cause it to die off in mass numbers ... its sad as salton sea use to be the prime vacationing spot draws more people then Yosemite
