  • Everyone's missing the big point. Mandatory school is slavery. You are taking a child who has committed no crime and forcing them to spend time in an institution despite what they and their parents think. And don't think that mandatory school=higher literacy rates; it doesn't. We're raising more ignorant kids than in earlier generations.

  • I think its a good idea it really wouldn't bother me if I would have to wear them

  • School unforms won't be solve anything, it doesn't solve the cause of problems.

  • I think you mean to say Effective. with an E. Not trying to be rude, I'm actually using this in a paper, but really.

  • @realneji4 I like school uniforms because you don’t have to waste time and money picking out outfits you never have to worry about what you will were to school and best of all NO BACK TO SCHOOL CLOWTHS SHOPING

  • @Marybobgen Mandatory school is slavery? Mandatory school is necessary, and any parent who wouldn't want their child to receive an education is not fit to be a parent. If they have particular problems with the public school, they can home school, or choose a charter school of some sort.

If we are to be thinking members of a productive society, we need to be educated. And OF COURSE mandatory school = higher literacy rates. Are you claiming that making school optional would increase literacy?

  • no ,no ,no ive wore uniforms all my life to school and it sucks i want to wear my own clothes and be able to be confortable, thats not gonna affect how i learn its just what im wearing

  • very powerful and effective.thank you 5/5 and faved.

  • Against what they and their parents think? So you're suggesting that a student whose parents don't want him to go to a school and recieve a basic education should be denied such an education by the state? How so?

  • I think you're looking for the word "effective" not "affective"

  • trust me dude-yes it would

  • no-uniforms make life harder-kids need 2 b able 2 wear what they want 2 school
