Being a DJ myself I couldn't pass the opportunity to record this. It was surreal. The DJs were very good and friendly to me. The event was targeted towards Westerners although the Nepali men outnumbered the tourists 20 to 1. They started the evening out with a lot of rap music and all announcements were in English. I remember hearing 2pac as I was browsing the candlelit "Garden of Dreams" next door and found the contrast rather strange. When the house music kicked in about an hour later I felt right at home. It was an East meets West moment I will never forget. For those of you that might be familiar with Kathmandu: this took place in Thamel, in front of Fire & Ice (The only Pizza Place in Nepal I saw). I was staying in the alley opposite of Fire & Ice at the Blue Horizon.
I suspect the Rap music was to lure us Westerners to the event. But being a House fan I was glad to see the Rap music didn't go on all night. I deon't remember a lot of Hindi music.

Great effort. they should organize this kind of event more often but without the rap or hindi music.
