This was a "Top 20" hit on two different Los Angeles radio stations, circa November 1961, per the Oldiesloon and Las Solanas ARSA websites.

This is the first time I've heard this since late 1961, when Aki Aleong lip-synched the then-new record on Baltimore's "The Buddy Deane Show". Nice to hear it again. I liked it well enough, then, to remember a line or two all these years.
